General Summary:

The Web Developer is responsible for managing a collaborative design and development process to ensure web updates stay consistent across educational platforms and search engine tools, while being properly designed and coded. This role works in partnership cross-functionally to focus on user experience and conversion, developing optimization strategies for improving experience and user engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support cross-functionally, with a high attention to detail
• Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
• May coach and review the work of other team members
• Develops specifications for screen layout and cross-platform compatible HTML and CSS codes
• Identifies opportunities to establish reusable, high-performance UI code
• Drives wireframe optimization and development for new and existing site pages
• Exhibits a commitment to data-based decision-making by utilizing A/B testing and analytics
• Uses proven user-centric-design methodologies to identify and define targeted audience segments, goals, and criteria for success
• Analyzes, identifies, and makes recommendations to further optimize current search engine optimization (SEO) of the assigned website, including site structure, page structure, and internal linking structure
• Monitors site-wide daily performance metrics and uses SEO tools and techniques to optimize site traffic
• Translates high-level marketing requirements into interaction flows and functional web pages

• Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
• Advanced knowledge of applicable work area
• Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
• Knowledge of complex coding and responsive layouts and design
• Knowledge of responsive design, usability, and cross-browser compatibility concerns
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, with focus on technical SEO optimizations
• Knowledge of website optimization techniques, ranking algorithms, and search engine spiders
• Preferred: Knowledge of project management tools like Salesforce Service Cloud
  
  

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS
• Experience in programming languages like C, C++, Java, or Python
• Experience with website tag management tools like Google Tag Manager
• Experience with Marketing Automation platforms
  
  

Working Conditions:

• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
• 0-10% travel may be required
• May require occasional work outside of normal business hours (go-lives, deployments, etc.)
