Project Manager Role Overview Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid Expectations: - Master of Science in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical) or equivalent, with over 12 years of relevant project experience.

- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets; proficiency in MS Projects and P6 is a significant advantage.

What Your Day Will Look Like: Core Responsibilities: Project Management & Controls
- Expertise in developing project cost estimates per AACE standards and a deep understanding of WBS & CBS application.
- Support the creation of detailed cost estimates at various FEL stages to ensure accurate estimate classification.
- Experience in developing project schedules (P6 knowledge is advantageous) to ensure appropriate scheduling across different FEL stages.
- Proficiency in project controls, including scope change monitoring, document management, and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience in contracting, contract management, and different contracting strategies.
- Experience with risk modeling and Monte Carlo applications for quantitative risk analysis.
Technical Knowledge
- Expert in Front-End Loading (FEL I, II & III) development, definition, and implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of new and existing technologies related to greenfield and brownfield terminal development.
- Proficient in industry technologies for storing and handling oil, gas, chemicals, and bulk liquids.
- Thorough understanding of relevant industry standards and practices (e.g., API, NFPA, PIANC).
- Ability to support and provide advice during the development of conceptual design, functional requirements, and Basis of Design (BoD) in collaboration with the project team.
- Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies and standards in multiple disciplines.
Project Management Experience
- Knowledge and experience in construction safety.
- Strong understanding of construction management.
- Expertise in project controls to manage scope, budget, time, and risk.
- At least 12 years of project engineering experience, particularly in front-end design such as PFD, P&ID, and HAZOP.
- Knowledge of oil and gas terminal operations.
- Understanding of different contracting strategies: EPC, EPCM, E P C, etc.
- Experience managing multi-discipline engineering projects with complex interface management.
- Familiarity with the complete stage gate process cycle.
- Experience in engineering, procurement, contracting, and construction of storage tanks and marine terminals, including rail loading/offloading facilities.
Project Implementation
- Support the development of detailed engineering designs, including specifications, standards, technology concepts, equipment and materials, operating parameters, IT, utilities, and interfaces.
- Ensure engineering development adheres to standards and experiences.
- Ensure all reviews are implemented and completed per methodology.
- Ensure full compliance with permits and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with technical, local regulations, and operational standards.

Work Environment: This position involves working in both office environments and outdoor conditions. Exposure to extreme heat in the summer (up to 104°F/40°C) and cold in the winter (as low as 15°F/-10°C) is expected. There will be exposure to various chemicals, including hazardous ones, and the employee may need to enter confined spaces and work in elevated environments. Appropriate PPE is required. General office noise is common, with louder sounds and vibrations when outside. The work environment noise level is usually moderate. All environments are safe with appropriate PPE.
Physical Demands: The role requires regular walking, sitting, speaking, and hearing. The employee will need to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may need to climb ladders/storage tanks up to 50 feet high and enter confined spaces. Occasionally, the employee may lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Travel by air, rail, bus, or car may be necessary.
