As a Process and Manufacturing Engineer at UniMatic, you will be responsible for supporting Operations with a focus on operational sequencing and technology identification to ensure completion of scheduled projects. This role is responsible for being the architect of our manufacturing process with a focus on new product introduction. This position will identify the best equipment and processes internally and externally. This position will work cross-functionally and collaboratively across the organization.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 2 years of Vo-Tech Training in Machine tool technology or a related area or equivalent.
• 5 years of machining and programming experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare quotes per customer requests and in support of sales and customer service team members.
2. Create routing operations and process development to meet customer requirements.
3. Estimates time standards for accurate quoting and scheduling for the shop floor.
4. Work with machine operators to identify process improvement opportunities.
5. Identify material requirements, specifications, and manufacturing in collaboration with Purchasing and Programming.
6. Review and release all orders to production.
7. Gather information on speeds, feeds, and tooling requirements for various materials and machining practices.
8. Creates and documents processes, prepares drawings, and develops work instructions.
9. Creates CNC programs for lathes and mills.
10. Designs or assists in designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, and special production equipment required to meet customer specifications as needed.
11. Create detailed vendor and outside service prints including masking requirements and racking locations.
12. Create In-process prints and work instructions.
13. Audit initial runs to verify the accuracy of routing steps, rates, and capability of the process.
14. Conform to the company quality system as documented.
