Mulhaupts, one of the most trusted names in Commercial and Residential doors and door hardware, automation, and security, is hiring an Overhead Door Technician. The Overhead Door Technician is the front line of the Mulhaupts team. Candidates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply. This is a Full-Time, benefits eligible position with on-the-job training.

Qualified candidates possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and should have general knowledge of repairing machines and equipment installation.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Project a professional image through competent service procedures, professional personal presentation, and communication with all customers
• Install customer equipment to the customers’ ongoing satisfaction
• Maintain accurate installation data through diligent and timely use of all installation documentation and technical data
• Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties
• Set overhead doors in place and ensure proper functioning
• Install, calibrate and set electric garage door openers
• Fabricate doors for custom openings
• Remove defective doors or openers and install completely new door systems and openers
• Operate lifts and winches and carry springs to the tops of doors and replace worn or broken parts, like springs, openers and brackets
• Inspect job sites for door clearance
• Adjust doors as necessary
• Use a welder or fasteners, to hang back hangers to ceilings and install tracks
• Use a welder and shaping machines to fabricate doors for custom openings as well as custom parts to replace broken or worn ones.

Requirements:

• Valid current driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to travel independently in company vehicles to job sites.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 100 pounds; frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and working overhead.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and welding techniques can also give you an advantage in the field.
• Must pass a Background Check and Drug Screen

No experience necessary, we provide on the job training!

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20 per hour
