Job Overview:
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make an impact? We're looking for a talented Microsoft Defender Consultant to join our team. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for Microsoft Defender products, ensuring their optimal implementation and usage to protect our systems and data from potential threats. You'll be key in maintaining a secure and resilient computing environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert technical support for Microsoft Defender products, including Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft Defender products across our organization's systems.
Work closely with internal teams to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices related to Microsoft Defender.
Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from Microsoft Defender products, responding to and escalating potential issues as needed.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using Microsoft Defender tools to identify and address potential weaknesses.
Stay informed about the latest features, updates, and security trends related to Microsoft Defender, and share this knowledge with the team.
Support incident response activities, including containment, investigation, and recovery, utilizing Microsoft Defender's capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience in technology and security, particularly in large, global organizations.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with a focus on Microsoft Defender products, Intune, and Autopilot.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender products, including Microsoft Defender Antivirus, ATP, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in a global setting.
Experience as a Technical Lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME) is highly desirable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Defender tools, such as Microsoft Defender Security Center and PowerShell cmdlets.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a creative approach to evolving threats.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Defender Associate or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, are a plus.
