Job Summary:
As an Independent Contractor, you'll bring your expertise in Oral Surgery, Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep, and Medicare billing to the role. You should be proficient with medical billing software and have access to a computer that meets our IT requirements. We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in medical insurance billing, including claim submission, insurance payment posting, contractual adjustment posting, and appeals.

We seek self-motivated individuals who excel at time management. In this role, you will support your clients by managing collections and diligently following up on outstanding medical claims.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical billing with a focus on dental billing is essential.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to effectively track claims.
Ability to review denials, verify the accuracy of explanations of benefits, and assist in resolving issues.
Responsibilities:

Review and submit clean claims with appropriate modifiers to insurance companies electronically or via 1500 forms.
Verify insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with provider contracts and patient benefits.
Perform collection actions, including communication with clients and insurance companies by phone and online.
Utilize A/R reporting to review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
Review all denials, confirm the accuracy of explanations of benefits, and help resolve any issues.

As an Independent Contractor, you will use your own computer that meets our IT requirements.
Requirements:

At least 2 years of dedicated billing experience with Health Fusion or Advanced MD.
A dedicated workspace, reliable computer, printer, and high-speed internet connection.
A deep understanding of EOBs, with the ability to accurately post payments and adjustments.
Self-directed with the ability to set effective goals and work independently.
Highly disciplined and detail-oriented, capable of quickly reviewing account ledgers and payments.
