Key Responsibilities:
Teach and Inspire: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals. Provide both theoretical and practical instruction in areas such as medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, patient care, and medical office management.
Model Excellence: Demonstrate and uphold best practices, safety standards, and ethical guidelines in medical assisting.
Foster Growth: Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and development. Offer hands-on guidance during lab work, simulations, and clinical practice.
Support and Assess: Monitor student progress through evaluations and practical assessments. Provide constructive feedback to help students advance their skills and professional growth.
Adapt and Collaborate: Address individual learning needs and support students who require extra help. Stay current with medical practices and advancements, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and program improvements.
Maintain Excellence: Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment. Serve as a mentor and resource, offering guidance and support throughout students' educational journeys.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
At least 3 years of professional experience as a medical assistant.
Teaching or training experience in a medical or healthcare education setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical assisting principles, practices, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for students.
Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Proficiency in instructional technology and multimedia resources.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
Commitment to creating a diverse and supportive learning environment.
Hours and Availability:
Day and evening positions available, including a partial work-from-home/remote schedule.
