Job Description

Our client, a prestigious Austin-based law firm is looking for an experienced and highly organized Litigation Assistant or Litigation Legal Secretary to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to all phases of litigation, from case intake through to post-trial, supporting a team of attorneys and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Docket Management: Efficiently manage and maintain multiple attorney and partner dockets, ensuring all case information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Document Drafting: Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence as needed, including initial drafts for attorney review.
• File Organization: Maintain and organize client files meticulously to ensure smooth case progression and easy retrieval of information.
• Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative support, including scheduling, managing reminders, and handling tasks assigned by attorneys and partners.
• Project Assistance: Support various projects and additional tasks as directed by attorneys and partners, contributing to the overall efficiency of the legal team.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in litigation, with a deep understanding of the litigation process and related procedures.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word. Experience with legal software and case management tools is a plus.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• References: Excellent professional references that attest to reliability and competence in a litigation support role.
• Training: Willingness to undergo additional training as required. A proactive and adaptable approach to learning new systems and processes is important.
