Climate Zone is looking for an HVAC/R Installer to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for our clients. The HVAC/R Installer will be responsible for guiding our customers and helping them select the most appropriate air quality system for their needs. The ideal HVAC/R Installer candidate will have strong attention to detail and prior experience cleaning, adjusting, and installing HVAC systems. The HVAC/R Installer will be responsible for HVAC systems from installation to end of life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.

HVAC/R Installer Responsibilities:

• Install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Test HVAC/R systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate with clients to understand their HVAC/R needs and preferences.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
• Perform upgrades and modifications to existing HVAC/R systems to improve efficiency and performance.
• Assisting with customers' queries.

HVAC/R Installer Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience as an HVAC technician, and willing to continue education in the HVAC field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and supervisors.
• Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
