Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Billing Manager to lead our billing team. In this full-time role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the success of our billing operations by providing leadership, support, and oversight. Your role will involve understanding and managing the billing process, growing and developing the team, and making key decisions to balance cash flow while upholding our mission of excellence and inspiration.
Structure and Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with both office and remote work options based on team performance. You should be available to work in the office Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm as needed. This is a full-time, benefited role reporting directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
Responsibilities:
Guide the billing team in submitting clean claims, minimizing write-offs, and ensuring timely follow-up.
Set and uphold ambitious but achievable targets with a supportive and kind approach.
Provide comprehensive training for new team members and maintain up-to-date training resources.
Mentor billers in developing problem-solving skills to address issues effectively.
Foster a collaborative mindset, focusing on collective goals and objectives.
Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and offer immediate, constructive feedback in a respectful manner.
Collaborate weekly with the Revenue Cycle Manager and other leaders.
Lead productive weekly team meetings to discuss results, areas for improvement, and skill development.
Identify and resolve system issues through direct interactions with payors and software providers.
Perform regular audits of billing reports to celebrate successes and identify areas for improvement.
Monitor accounts receivable and payment reports to detect trends, investigate issues, and implement solutions.
Understand insurance coverage from a billing perspective and assist the team in reviewing patient eligibility.
Stay informed about new payor requirements and processes related to contract changes.
Contribute to the accuracy of accounts receivable, adjustments, and payment postings during month-end close preparation.
Undertake special projects and additional duties as needed.

Three years of relevant industry experience; medical billing and/or home health experience is preferred
